Kalyana Utsavam is the ritual of celebrating the marriage of Sri Malayappa Swamy with Sriddevi and Bhudevi. This is observed as a special seva in Tirumala temple as well. In this puja, a priest organizes the archaka and the wedding ceremony. The significance of archaka here is to obtain various marriage customs in the name of the bridegroom. The ceremony ends with Vaikhanasa Agama and involves continuous chanting of Vedic mantras.
